Daphne Hancock Photography: Blog https://www.daphnehancock.com/blog en-us (C) Daphne Hancock Photography info@daphnehancock.com (Daphne Hancock Photography) Wed, 09 Mar 2022 03:19:00 GMT Wed, 09 Mar 2022 03:19:00 GMT https://www.daphnehancock.com/img/s/v-12/u15765531-o422216731-50.jpg Daphne Hancock Photography: Blog https://www.daphnehancock.com/blog 120 80 MATERNITY SESSIONS https://www.daphnehancock.com/blog/2020/2/maternity-sessions Maternity sessions are a very special moment and doesn't last long.  Capture it while you can!  When I was pregnant with any of my children, the last thing I wanted to do was to get in front of the camera.  I was HUGE, uncomfortable and just didn't feel.... beautiful.  I forced myself after my first one to get in front of the camera because I quickly regretted not doing it with my first.  Once your baby is Earthside, that beautiful round bump is gone (well mine seems to be more like a flat tire these days) and that moment of life inside of you becomes just a memory.  CAPTURE IT!  Seriously, I look back at the images I forced myself to do with my second and third child and it brings such joy to me.  Don't get me wrong, I love them to pieces and are so glad they are here BUT that time when it was life inside my tummy was MAGICAL!  

The passion I have for shooting maternity comes from my own experience.  I didn't feel pretty.... didn't feel like I could fit into one of those amazing dresses.... didn't know how much I would miss these moments.   I want to make you look and feel your best to capture this time and to show you how beautiful you really are.  Even if you don't want to wear a dress, get some jeans and a t-shirt, I want to shoot you for who you are.  Show that YOU are beautiful EXACTLY the way you are!  

With all of that said.... I do have a client closet of gowns for my clients to wear.  Typical sessions will have at least 2 outfit changes to make sure you have a good variety of images to pick from. 

 

Very soon a gallery is coming of gown options that I have in my client closet!

Guys: I don't have a What to Wear guide for you just yet, but we can discuss outfit choices and options for your session.  

 

A senior inquiry magazine and Welcome Kit are in the works, but not yet created.  I am trying to answer all uncertainties with upcoming content, but you are always free to message me anytime with any questions.
